The cream is a prefect pairing with the Lipikar Stick I reviewed in my previous post. It is formulated to relieve tight and burning sensations which are usually associated with intolerant or sensitive skin. The ingredients in this product are designed to moisturise, protect and nourish the skin to help minimise discomfort and over time, treat skin irritations and sensitivity. The ultimate benefits being that your skin's natural barrier function is restored.
From the Dermastore website:
Key ingredients include Squalane for moisture and La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, a real wonder of nature, reduces sensitivity with its soothing, antioxidant properties due to its unique Selenium content – a mineral that protects the cellular metabolism. Its creamy texture has been formulated to minimise the risk of intolerance and is enriched with lipid-replenishing Shea butter which intensely nourishes the skin and restores comfort. Fragrance-free. Preservative-free, Paraben-free. Non-comedogenic.
The cream is rich but surprisingly lightweight, which means it absorbs quickly and is very comfortable on the skin. It practically melts into the skin and provides long lasting relief from dryness. A thing to note is that there is no SPF in this product, so if you use it during the day it is important to wear a good quality SPF.
Initially I didn't really take note of the fact that the tube is only 40ml, but after trying it out I found that I only need a small pea size amount to treat my entire face, so this has been lasting me well. I paid R310 for mine on the Dermastore online store.
Big Hugs.
