7 day anti-cellulite challenge | Elancyl Slim Design

I have always struggled with cellulite. As soon as my hormones changed at the start of my teenage years, cellulite appeared - even though I was very active and mostly ate well. So for me cellulite is "normal". I obviously would prefer not to have it but at the same time, I am not the type of person to live the lifestyle where I would be cellulite free (I can't deprive myself of yummy things every single day). I received the Elancyl Slim Design product a while back and I won't lie, I was quite hesitant to start using it. I don't really know why, maybe it is because I am not a believer in these types of products but I want to give it a try and see for myself if this product works.

I know not to expect miracles and reading the information on this product really sells the idea that you will have visibly smoother looking skin...we'll have to see. So this is how I am going to run this - I am not confident enough to take thigh and hip shots to show before and afters, but one thing I will do is follow the instructions and report back after 7 days.

Here is a bit of information on the product:
Slim Design is the result of 10 years of research where ivy, caffeine and salacia are combined to reduce the appearance of stubborn cellulite. To help improve the effectiveness of this product, one is advised to follow a special massaging techniques which helps to breakdown the cellulite cells and boost blood flow to the area.

I've applied the first treatment, where you apply the product over your thighs and hip area then massage the product in. I find that it absorbs very quickly but gives you enough time to massage your thighs and hips properly before it disappears into the skin. One thing I did realise is that I am going to have to give myself a bit more time to get ready in the morning because the massaging does take a few minutes.

For about 1 hour after the application and massaging I could feel a sensation in my thighs and hips - not at all uncomfortable and definitely not painful. It just felt as if something was happening in my skin - I wish I had the words to describe it. It is a very similar feeling to when I apply a really good face mask that has active ingredients that penetrate deep into my skin - and that is most likely exactly what this product is doing. On the product packaging it says that one application remains active in your skin for 24 hours.

I actually have quite high hopes for this product and will be updating this post with my thoughts at the end of the week.

UPDATE AFTER 7 DAY CHALLENGE:
I used this treatment for 7 consecutive days and here are some of the thing that I noticed. As I mentioned previously, when you apply the cream and massage it into your skin it leaves you with a tingling feeling within your skin. This is felt for about 1 hour each day but it's not uncomfortable or distracting - in a way its a nice reminder that something is working.

Over the first 3 days I didn't really notice much difference in my skin - one thing you will initially notice is that your skin will look nicer, this is because the cream has light reflecting pigments in it. So if you plan on wearing shorts or a short skirt, this cream will instantly improve the appearance of your skin tone. It doesn't leave any residue on your clothing so it is safe to apply and then put your clothing on. After three days my skin started feeling smoother and softer - the texture and cellulite appearance wasn't drastically reduced but I definitely could feel my skin was different.

I continued the application and massaging treatment for full 7 days and noticed by the end of it that the orange peel affect over the front of my thighs was far less noticeable. I didn't really notice too much of a difference in my cellulite dimples however, the overall appearance of my skin tone was definitely more firmer looking - smoother. My skin continued to feel soft - it's an excellent skin treatment.

With me going to Reunion I wasn't able to take the bottle with me so I stopped the treatment, but I definitely will pick it up again to see the longer term effects. Overall, I'm really happy with the results. As I said, I didn't expect my cellulite to disappear but the results I have seen are encouraging in that along with my exercising, it is helping to improve the overall appearance of my legs. I am very tempted to buy bottle for myself after this one is finished, I still have half a bottle left so we'll see how it goes.
