Lamelle | Dermaheal Foaming Cleanser

I was one of those people that didn't really believe in spending a lot of money on a face wash. In my mind, I pretty much felt that a face wash is just there to take my makeup off and then I wash the product off my face, down the drain - what is the point in spending too much money on it? I quickly learned that face wash is actually the foundation to a good skin care routine. Prepping your skin properly for the serums and moisturisers you use helps to get the most out of those products. So when Lamelle sent me information about the Dermaheal Foaming Cleanser, I asked to try it out.

The cleanser is a thick, clear gel like consistency that gently foams up when applied to wet skin. A little goes a very long was with this cleanser, a small pea size amount is more than enough to properly cleanse your face, neck and décolleté area. The fragrance of the product is really fresh which makes it really pleasant to use. After massaging the cleanser over my skin and rinsing it off, my skin feels really clean but more importantly, it doesn't feel striped of moisture. A lot of foaming cleansers really strips a lot of moisture out of my skin leaving it feeling very tight and dry after use.

So you might be thinking, what makes this cleanser so special? Well, it is packed with high concentrations pf antioxidants that are naturally produced by your skin. This helps to protect your epidermis. The formulation also includes thiordoxin which is produced by the skin when exposed to UVA radiation - this helps to protect your skin from cellular mutation and irritation. It also helps to stimulate your epidermis' natural corrective abilities.

The cleanser is really great at removing makeup and dirt off my skin, but also helps remove other impurities like pollution, oil, bacteria and dead skin cells that would block pores (this is what can lead to breakouts). The best part to me is that this cleanser helps to maintain the hydration of my skin

I have been using this cleanser for over a month now. I have found that my skin looks clearer, feels less dry after cleansing it and my pores look a bit less noticeable.  A 125ml tube costs R240, which to me is very reasonable for such a great quality product. That coupled with the fact that such a tiny amount is needed, makes this quite the bargain in my opinion. A tube will last me well over two months, using it in the morning and at night.
