My lips have been SO DRY this winter - it is crazy! I've been drinking water but I still battle with dry lips. Luckily I received two lip treatment products from L.O.V Cosmetics to test out, the timing was perfect.
I immediately tested these two products out. After washing my face, I twisted the end of the lip scrub pen to dispense some of the scurb and applied it to my lips. The PERFECTITUDE Smoothing Lip Scrub (R134.95) contains very fine particles that work so well at smoothing chapped lips and getting rid of the dead skincells. One thing you'll notice is that the scrub feels very buttery on your lips and isn't super abrasive like sugar scrubs - I find that my lips feel really smooth and not at all sensitive after using this. It's a definite winner. The scrub is formulated with mango butter, vitamin E and panthenol, all ingredients nourish and hydrate lips.
After the exfoliation, I wipe the excess scrub off my lips with a wet cotton ball or face cloth and immediate apply a layer of the TRUE ME Lip Treatment Oil Day & Night (R189.95). The oil is thick and almost gel like which helps to easily coat your lips without running all over the place. It has a balm like feeling on your lips and isn't at all sticky. I also really like the design of the applicator, it feels really soft on your lips and controls the amount of product that comes out of the tube. It's really a good treatment oil - contains avocado oil and vitamin E. For those who like the lipgloss shine but hate the feeling of lipgloss, this is the perfect product. It'll transform you lipsticks without the tacky, sticky feeling of lipgloss and also nourish your lips.
These two products help look after your lips but also are perfect preparation for the matte lipsticks that are trendy at the moment. I've been using it in preparation for some shots I want to do of lipsticks that were sent to me. These two products really do work well and the convenient packaging makes it easy to use and store.
L.O.V Cosmetics products are available from certain Dischem stores and also from Takealot.
Big Hugs,
