• OPI Avoplex Exfoliating Cuticle Treatment

I am not the type of person that will sit for ages looking after my cuticles.  I simply forget and often just don’t have the time.  When having my nails done with my sister I asked the nail technician about quick ways to look after your cuticles and some shortcuts.  She suggested that I try OPI’s Avoplex Exfoliating Cuticle Treatment, at R180 for a little bottle I was a little hesitant but thought about how fantastic OPI’s Nail Envy is and made the purchase.

The scent of this is really amazing, it makes it a treat to use.  The product spreads easily and absorbs well into the skin.  It also has a non-greasy or oily formulation.  You only need a tiny drop on each cuticle to cover the entire cuticle with the cream.  A bottle will last you a good few months before needing to be replaced, so R180 is not all that expensive.  The product contains Alpha Hydroxy and Salicylic Acid that removes dry, rough cuticles.  It also contains Advanced Avocado Lipid Complex, Willow Bark Extract and Vitamin E to moisturise and nourish the skin around your nails.

Some people say that they can leave this on once applied but I find that when I do so, the area around my nails feels tender.  I simply cannot leave this on without removing it.  What I do is massage it into each cuticle and leave it on for 5 - 10 minutes before washing my hands with luke warm water and soap.  I do this twice a week and find that I never have to push my cuticles back or trim off the excess skin.  It is so easy to work into your routine, especially if you apply it before showering or bathing.  This is the perfect product for those who are like me when it comes to nail care and need quick and simple solution.
