Dior 5 Couleurs Mystic Metallics

Those who follow me on Twitter and Instagram will know how I long I have been going on about the Dior Fall 2013 Collection.  I especially have been fixated on the 5 Couleurs Mystic Metallics Eyeshadow Palette called Constellation (864). 

The palette is made up of an icy pink highlighter (1); mushroom pink satin finish (2); mauve satin finish (3); shimmery gold with glitter finish (4) and lastly a deep plum that has a silver sparkle (5).  I am such a huge fan of purple eyeshadow and when I saw this palette I instantly fell in love with it and had to have it.  It took me a lot of courage to use this palette because I did not want to destroy the beautiful star detail that is pressed into the eyeshadows. But what is great is that the starts are deep and even after quite a bit of use the stars are still very visible.

These eyeshadows are beautifully pigmented and go so well together.  There are various looks that you can create with this palette.  The Dior websites suggests using 3 colours next to eachother in the palette to create looks.  I find shades 1; 2; and 3 create a nice subtle day time look but I like using all 5 colours as I have shown in the photo.  To give it more drama I line the inside of my bottom eye lids as well as the outter corner along the upper inner eyelid.  Lining the top inner eyelid is a tricky thing to get use to, but it really adds to the beautiful smokey eye look.

I am fast becoming a HUGE fan of Dior.  All the products I have bought from them are so wonderful.  My next purchases will definitely be a waterproof mascara, a lip addict lipstick in shade Singuliere 465 and I am rather intrigued by the Nail Glow nail polish.
