BB creams provide coverage with added skin care benefits like SPF and anti-oxidants. Depending on the brand you choose, there are added ingredients to improve your skin. They are generally lighter than foundation but heavier than tinted moisturisers. BB creams have been in the South African market for a while now are easily available in stores.

CC Cream
CC stands for “colour correcting” and the creams are meant to address issues like redness or uneven skin tone, with light-diffusing particles. CC creams have the benefits of BB creams but provide more skin coverage. These are relatively new to the South African market and there aren't many brand available yet. The newest one to be advertised is Clinique's Moisture Surge CC Cream (It retails for R355 for 40ml).

I haven't tried it yet. Tried Ponds and Lo'real. Both cater for different needs. The Ponds is better for evening skin tone whereas the Lo'real is more anti-ageing and moisturising.
