I love the baking of biscuits & other lovely snacks. But the best thing about Christmas is getting together with the family to chat & laugh together.

ReplyDeleteSo, what I love about Christmas time - The pretty lights, the yummy food, the decorated shopping malls, the shopping, the presents, the wrapping paper, Christmas-themed TV shows, Christmas movies, festive PJ's, egg nog, Christmas-themed beauty products, gingerbread men, but most important of all is the time I get to spend with my family. LOVE this time of the year. :)
The festivity in the air, all the happiness.. The love that people show to each other, especially for charity. Just amazing

What don't I love about Christmas ? I love everything! Even the fact that woolworths starts unpacking Christmas stuff in October and well yes the fact that it doesn't snow!:) being from the cold mother Russia up until I was 11 I always associated Christmas with other things: fresh fallen snow , oranges(yes they grow there in winter) and the smell of pine tree.and I do love all those things, but been in sa the past 11 Christmas' I've learned to love other things about it too. The nice hot weather , the shopping and the wrapping up of the Christmas gifts, the turkey and cranberry sauce, the mince pie(oh yes I love those)! It is also the time I get my family visit from Russia and I love getting together and spending time with them on this special day of the year :)

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about Christmas: my family getting together on Christmas eve, festive food, gift giving, Christmas lights everywhere, Christmas carols, spending a whole day on the living room floor wrapping pressies, finding that perfect outfit to wear and baking Christmas cookies with my mom to give to everyone we know :)

ReplyDeleteWhat I love most about Christmas is spending time with my family. We all gather in my grandparents house and have a huge delicious feast. This year we are doing secret santa and I am pretty excited to swap gifts with them.

ReplyDeleteEven though I am a Muslim, my family and I enjoy celebrating Christmas with my friends who do celebrate. They are very welcoming and open to us joining them on their holiday. I love how happy and carefree all of them are. I enjoy sending and receiving gifts ever since they invited us to join them a few back (it back a tradition for us after that). It was like my birthday had come again :) The decorations that are up every where(shopping malls, houses, trees, etc) make Cape Town look colourful and I love it. I also love Christmas because of the charity that happens around that time. I know charity should be a all year thing but theres just something about doing charity work during this time of the year. I think its the smiles you receive from children and families because they might not have had such a great day but now they are, just makes me love Christmas. The fact that I could possibly be making someones day special just by being generous makes me happy.
