Cape Town launch event for the limited edition Stuttafords Glossybox

As mentioned in yesterday afternoon's post I attended the Cape Town launch of the limited edition Stuttafords Glossybox, held at the Canal Walk Stuttafords store. It was the first time I have ever been invited to such an event and really enjoyed the experience.  There was a good mix of people and to be honest, I felt very out of place because my little blog has only been around for all but a month and a bit.  But it was very good to attend the event and to get to see the brands that are going to be featured in the Stuttafords and Glossybox partnership as well as to meet the ladies behind the making of our beautiful boxes each month.


There was a short presentation from Simone from Glossybox and Liz from Stuttafords, where we discovered to great surprise and excitement that this partnership is not simply a once off flash in the pan.  Future boxes are already planned with the next box being in September.  This year we can look forward to 3 Stuttafords glossyboxes.  This is incredible news for all beauty lovers as this means that we will all be treated to high end brands that we'll all love trying.

There were numerous stands offering various experiences.  I was treated to a lipstick application by Lancome, perfumes from D&G and YSL and hand creams from L'Occitane to name but a few.  There was also a Clarins stand where a makeup artist applied full makeup and a Molton Brown stand where people were treated to hand massages while lounging in an armchair.

I was very taken back by all the wonderful little samples being handed out by the various stands and almost felt guilty accepting all of them.  I am incredibly happy with my little stash of products that I cannot wait to try.  But the biggest surprise had to be receiving the Stuttafords Edition Glossybox!  I already have a box ordered but getting a sneak peak to the much anticipated box was very well received by all attending the event.

The box is simply breath taking, I wish I could already share the contents with you...BUT I will resist the temptation to spill the beans because I don't want to spoil the surprise for those who are getting the box.  All I can say is that Glossybox has once again provided a box jam packed with amazing products. You do not want to miss this box!  I look forward to sharing the box with you closer to the time of release.
