• Avene Very High Protective Fluid SPF50

The summer holidays are always so much fun in my family. We spend a lot of time exploring areas around Cape Town, swimming at home and just enjoying the holidays. I have always been incredibly aware of the sun's affects on my skin, because freckles appear on my face and shoulders when I am out in the sun. Over the years, as I have gotten older, the freckles don't simply fade away which makes me worry about pigmentation. For this reason I make sure to wear sunblock that has a very high SPF and minimise the time I am exposed to direct sunlight (I wear hats, sit in the shade and wear clothing with sleeves).
I've tried out a few of Avene's sunblocks and always enjoy them because I find that skincare brands make sunblocks that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Furthermore, they provide some really great skincare benefits while protecting your skin from the sun.

The Very High Protection Fluid has an SPF of 50 which is specifically formulated for the face, to be gentle on the sensitive skin. It has a photostable, dry touch formulation which provides great protection in the sun. It is non-greasy, absorbs quickly and feels great on the skin. I really like the airless pump-bottle because it not only dispenses the right amount  of the product it also means the ingredients are protected against degrading from exposure to the air.

The product comes in a Dry Touch formulation for Normal / Combination skin as well as a Matifying formulation for Oily blemish prone skin.  Both versions have antioxidant complex for cellular protect and Avene's famous Thermal Spring Water. The Matifying version contains Monolaurin which is a sebum-regulating active ingredient.

The Recommended selling price is R239,95. Avene products are available at Clicks stores across the country.

    Big Hugs,
