• #discoverOverberg | Day 3 & 4

I was debating about whether or not to even do a post of our time in Hermanus. We didn't really do much exploring while in Hermanus. We rather spent time in the house my family had rented and went for really long walks along the Cliff Paths.
We took things really slow and just relaxed - just enjoyed being together. I really love time with family - especially when it is so relaxed. We sat out in the garden chatting and playing with the dogs for hours.
The Cliff Paths of Hermanus are really a great way to take in the ocean views. I was really pleasantly surprised to see that the paths are patrolled by security on a regular basis. We passed quite a few security men while on our walk. It helped us feel more relaxed and could enjoy the scenery more.
The center of Hermanus has really changed quite a lot in the years I have been visiting it. Some might say that it has lost its village feel but I think it is difficult for a town to stay a village when the population and popularity of it grows. Hermanus has become one of those places that allows you to escape the city but still provides you with some city comforts - there is good shopping and lots of restaurant choices all surrounded by beautiful views of the ocean and mountains.

So that is it for this series of posts. I have kept my Instastories on my highlight reel if you want to see more photos from the trip. I really enjoyed the break and felt so revitalised after my time here.

    Big Hugs,
    Charlene XXX
