One thing I always get excited about are skin care press drops. I really do try my best to give my skin the proper care especially since entering my thirties. So when L'Oréal sent me their new Revitalift Laser Renew face cream I was really excited. It is a double care system that works on the surface to correct wrinkles, smooths skin texture and illuminates the skin. It also works in the deeper layers of your skin to remodel, redensify and improve the tone of your skin.
You'll notice that the face cream's pump nozzle has two holes in it, that is because two different formulations are released with each pump. One side is the phase 1 super resurfacing formulation that has a high concentration of 2% Vitamin CG (which is what gives your skin the luminous look) and the second phase is the super penetrating phase that has 6% Pro-xylane (an anti-ageing molecule). To apply, simple dispense one pump onto your finger tips, mix together and gently apply to your face and neck area.
This face cream is formulated for mature skin (40 to 60 years old) and can be used on any skin type. It is extremely light weight and absorbs easily into the skin. Now although this is meant for mature skin, I personally wanted to give it a try to see how it works. After 4 weeks of continuous use, I do feel that there is a visible difference in the appearance of my skin. It looks less dull and has a more toned look. I still have some smile lines around my eyes which I haven't noticed too much of difference in, but that is to be expected.
As with all face creams, you have to give your skin a chance to renew itself so it is all about consistent use over at least 2 months before you'll start seeing the true results. After the first month, I am happy with the results. I like that this cream absorbs very quickly and it creates a nice base for my makeup. Another thing I am impressed with is how well this moisturises my skin. I have dry skin so I need a product that hydrates and locks in moisture. When I first saw it's lights consistency I was a bit worried, but was so pleasantly surprised by how well it hydrated my skin. I also really like the fragrance of this product - it is a nice treat in the morning and before I go to bed.
This face cream is currently available at Clicks, Dischem, Foschini and Edgars at a recommended selling price of R329.95.
