• 3ina | Review and Giveaway

It's been all over social media so this shouldn't be news to many of you, but in August a European brand is hitting SA soil - 3ina (pronounced Mina). 3ina will be opening a concept store in Gateway Mall.  The 3ina range will have 450 products with an average retail price of R149.95 - from makeup to skin care products. Every month new products will be launched which is bound to keep this brand exciting.  I was lucky enough to be sent quite a few products to test out the brand, There were so many beautiful products, some of which I personally just don't use, so I decided to do a little giveaway on the blog. In this way I get to share the experience of getting a new launch with one of you.
I really love the packaging of these products. Each product looks sleek, modern and in my opinion, quite expensive. So when I read the press release that said the average price of a product is R149.95 I was quite surprised.  For this post I decided to test out the Highlighter, Shiny Lipstick and Nail Polish.  I have included the prices below each product image as listed on the 3ina website to give you an idea of the price, I do not yet know the actual prices of each product.
Now when it comes to nail polish, I completely avoid certain colours - orange, yellows and blues are some of the colours I never personally buy.  But I decided to give this blue a go and see what I thought.
    The Nail Polish (£4.95)
Now, those who follow me on Snapchat will know that I wasn't sold on the blue on me. Yes, it is a very beautiful blue shade but I just don't like wearing blue. I will however share my experience of using this product because I think it is good. The nail polish application is very easy. The brush is small and this allow you to control the area in which you apply the nail polish. I was able to get quite a clean application. After not wearing nail polish for a while, my skills have deteriorated and I seriously need to practice, but despite this I didn't do too terrible a job. I didn't do any clean up and I also didn't apply a top coat so that you could see the true finish and colour of the nail polish.  I applied two coats to my nails which gave me even colour on each nail. I like applying two thin coats of nail polish and applied this way, the nail polish dried quickly and I had a completed manicure within 10 minutes. After 15 minutes my nails per dry and the polish had hardened enough to allow me to carry on with things around the house.

The Shiny Lipstick was the next product I tested out - boy oh boy - this is a beautiful lipstick.  The colour is shade 211 which is a deep berry colour.
    The Shiny Lipstick (£7.95)
The name of this lipstick almost doesn't quite do the finish justice, when applied to my lips this looks like I have bitten into a berry, it is shiny but in a juicy kind of way. It truly is so beautiful and not something I have every seen in a lipstick before. The lipstick is soft on your lips and lasts a good few hours. You will experience some transfer when drinking or eating, but the product leaves a pretty berry tint on your lips by midday. The lipstick contains caster seed oil which helps condition lips and not leave them dry once the lipstick has worn off.

Lastly, the highlighter....when I shared these products on Snapchat, the highlighter got the most attention and I had a number of people message me asking when this will be available.  It is a masterpiece of a product.
    The Highlighter (£10.95)
This highlighter gives you a shimmery sheen of highlight that is not glittery, that is what a good highlighter should be like. It catches light beautifully and gives your skin a natural, warm highlight.  What I like the most about this product is that you can use it without any fear of overdoing it. The powder is soft but doesn't transfer too much onto your brush or finger - which is a good thing in my mind - because it means you can easily control the amount of product you pick up and apply to your skin, so it is quite difficult to overdo it. But if you are someone who likes to do a mean highlighter, you can easily build up the finish to the way you like it.  The compact doesn't come with a mirror, which I personally don't have a problem with, I don't use the mirrors inside of products. It also means that you can easily travel with this in your bag.  This is a definite "must get" product for those who are looking to pick up a few products from the line.

At first I was a bit torn as to what I should test out, I won't lie, the temptation to just give everything a go is very hard to resist, especially as a beauty blogger, curiosity means you want to immediately try things out. But at the same time, I don't want to necessarily use things I know I won't consistently use when there is an opportunity to share something with other people. So that is why I decided to do a giveaway of a few of the products.
The prize contains a Pen Eyeliner (£7.95), a Lip Gloss (£7.95) and an Eyeshadow (£6.95).  This prize is valued at over R400. I have not used or swatched any of the products because I wanted to keep these for a giveaway.  I am going to use Raffelcopter again to help manage the entries, but if the gadget is a pain to use, simply leave a comment below with an email address or Twitter handle and I'll count that as an entry.
    a Rafflecopter giveaway
I will draw the winner on Sunday so keep an eye on my blog and my Twitter feed on Sunday evening (24 July).

    Big Hugs,
    Charlene XXX
