It's a tradition on the blog to have a giveaway on Women's Day but I have been rather busy and almost forgot! So although this is a day late, Happy Women's Day to all of you (although we should be recognising all the amazing women in the world every day!). I hope that you took the time to celebrate the fact that you are a wonderful woman.
The winner will get a hamper packed full of beauty products to pamper themselves - because everyone deserves some "me time". The entries are going to be very simple for the giveaway - just leave a comment below telling me which woman inspires you. The two women I love, admire and aspire to be like are my Mom and sister.  They mean so very much to me and enrich my life in such a beautiful way.

I will draw the winner on Saturday (15 August) and will notify the winner via email.  It isn't mandatory to tweet or share the giveaway, but if you'd like to I'd appreciate the support.

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your public holiday.

    Big Hugs,
    Charlene XXX

    3. I'm inspired by a friend whose daughter of 3 years old has been fighting cancer since the age of 9 months. Everytime I see you N I'm reminded of the strenght us women carry inside ourselves and that we really can overcome and grow from whatever life throws at us.

    4. I am inspired by my sister, who, as young as she is has been through something no woman would want to go through. At 5months her baby was stillborn. And yet she is strong and has enough hope to last a lifetime..

    6. I would have to say firstly my mom, she has been there for me since the beginning lol, but she has also stood by me through my divorce, telling me to keep my head high, and always drying my tears and showering me with love, advice and hugs. She's been a real rock in my hard times. And secondly my boyfriend's mom, she has grown to be one of the most inspirational women in my life, listening, encouraging and overall being such a role model, in life, career and marriage.

    7. The woman that has influenced me my whole life is my mom. She is the kindest, most patient person I know. She inspires me to be the best I can be, she excels at just about anything she puts her mind to from baking the most amazing cakes to transforming a piece if material into the most beautiful wedding gowns for my sister and I. Her motto in life.. "how do you know you can't do it if you don't try?" She really is one in a million, she celebrates her 68th birthday this month and I am so grateful to have her in my life, as well as in my children's life.

    8. I am inspired everyday by my beautiful best friend. She lives with a chronic illness and despite being in pain every day of her life, never complains and always puts other's needs before her own. She is quite simply my Super Woman!

    9. I am inspired by my friend and colleague who fought the battle against Cancer and won. She lost her breast in the process but became a councillor to other young ladies fighting the same battle. And after doctors told her she would never be a mother after her intense chemotherapy, she is now 5 months pregnant. Through all of this she hasn't changed one bit.

    12. I am inspired by my wonderful mother, each and every day. She is a very amazing and strong woman and always puts other needs ahead of her own. She is selfless and has always taught me to believe in myself and work hard for what I would like to achieve in the world because nothing in life is easy. With her by my side I know I will achieve greatness and can only dream to become half the woman she is. Although I have had a tough few weeks and could really use a good old pampered session... if I had to win this prize - I would very much love to give it to my mom - she deserves it so much more.

    14. My Mom, is the most amazing role model to me and inspires me daily; she has never steered me in the wrong direction, allowed me to make my own mistakes without so much as an "I told you so." She afforded me the space to grow and learn for myself without ever being so far away when I needed her. My mom, my mentor, my strength, my number one fan and, most of all, my best friend. She will has always been a constant force in an ever-changing life. I know that through her love, wisdom and friendship she has given me the ability to love unconditionally, to cherish every living creature and to treat them with the utmost respect and kindness. If I am able to grow to be half the woman that I see in her, I will consider my life a success. I can say, with certainty, that without her by my side, I would not be the woman I am today. Everything I have achieved, I owe to her. She is my pillar of strength and my most trusted friend.

    16. My mother is an inspiration, not just to me, but to other young girls and woman. She started off with nothing, but today, she has raised and educated 3 adult daughters. She has achieved her honours in B Ed and strives to care for others in our poverty riddled community. She educates the kids in our neighbourhood, guides young girls to make the right decisions and always gives her best to everyone she meets. She s selfless, courageous and determined. The world is a better place because of her.

    17. I admire all my girlfriends. Sometimes, life gets difficult, but each and every time, they rise above it all. Our combined experiences help each other when life gets tough. We comfort each other and most importantly celebrate with each other.

    18. The woman that inspires me is my sister. She's the best person I know and simply takes everything life throws at her in her stride. She's a strong resilient woman and I'm glad she's my sister.

    21. I have to say that my gran definitely inspires me. She is always (and I mean ALWAYS) cool, calm and collected even if the situation is not. She has full control of her emotions and I really wish that came naturally to me (sadly it doesn't). She truly believes that everything will work out. And in her case it always does. She has this level of faith that nobody can shake. She believes that there is good in every single person. She kind to every soul she meets. She radiates love and warmth and welcoming energy all of the time. Sadly myself and my mom (her daughter) did not gain that composure naturally but we do always say to each other "what would gran do" and then we find a way through it.

    22. I'm really inspired by strong South African women like Thuli Madonsela, Ferial Haffajee and Futhi Mthoba who show us what it is possible to achieve with hard work and determination. In a society where we are know as the 'weaker sex', they show us that we are anything but, and that we are just as capable of changing the world as any man is. Thanks for living such inspiring lives, ladies!
