• My Holiday Makeup Bag

While I was away I had a few people ask me what makeup I took along with me on my trip to Copenhagen. Generally when I am on holiday I don't really wear a lot of makeup, in fact most days I just wear BB Cream, mascara and some blush.

My biggest tip is to pack products that you know work for you. After that look at products that are compact or travel sized. This is what I took with me:

    1. Inglot travel makeup brush set. These little brushes work like a charm - great quality despite their small size.
    2. MaxFactor Wild Shadow Pot in Burnt Bark (107). This is an eyeshadow I am really loving. It has such a nice shimmery brown colour that is perfect on its own.
    3. Dior Jador mini perfume. I got this with one of my Dior purchases and take it with me on trips because of it's size and how amazing it smells. It is a scent I associate with holidays.
    4. Smashbox photo finish foundation primer. I bought this purely because it is a small travel size and I knew I was going to be travelling, it was also an excuse to test the primer out. I'll do a proper review on this, but I really liked it a lot.
    5. Dior Addict lipstick in shade 578. This is another miniature product I got with one of my Dior purchases. It is the prettiest shade of pink and takes up such a small amount of space. Perfect for travel and your handbag.
    6. Dior Lip Glow. I took this with me because I use it as a lip treatment. No other lip balm soothes my lips as well as this. I have done a full review on this previously, click here to read it.
    7. MAC lustre drops. This was probably not a necessity, but I really love adding a few drops to my BB Cream when my skin is looking dull or patting a bit only my cheek bones to give me some radiance.  I really love this stuff!
    8. TheBalm Autobalm Face Palette. I took this with me because it is an all in one palette for your eyes and cheeks. Contains 2 eyeshadow colours, a blush and highlighter that doubles as another eyeshadow colour. These are all highly pigmented and apply beautifully. One of the best gifts I received this year (thank you Bronwyn XXX)
    9. Nudestix (shade Angel). I did a review on this a while ago - it is my go to eyelid primer and eyeshadow colour. It makes my eyeshadow last all day and it just so easy to use, click here to read the full review.
    10. Dior Iconic Overcurl Mascara. When you choose a mascara to take with you on holiday, make sure you take one that you absolutely love. This mascara doesn't clump, looks great throughout the day and feels light on my lashes.
    11. Avene Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream. I included this under makeup because it is what I used every morning on my skin before I applied my makeup. It was a gamble taking this with me because I hadn't tried it before but I am so thrilled I took it with. It is a rich cream that was perfect for my post airplane skin. It helped rehydrate my skin and protected it from the cold weather in Copenhagen.
    12. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation. As with your mascara, take a foundation with you that you love and always works well for you. I like how light this mascara is and how it gives me a matte finish. Click here to read the full review.
    13. Real Techniques buffing brush. This is part of the Core face brush collection. I took it with because it is fantastic for buffing out my foundation and also great as a blush brush.

So there you have it, my travel makeup and why I chose to take it with me. If you have any comments or questions please leave me a message below.

    Big Hugs,
    Charlene XXX
