• Copenhagen | Tivoli Gardens

As you all know, I am back home from my trip to Copenhagen. I thought I would start sharing some photos from JP and my trip each Friday - seeing as it is usually my Feel Good Friday post slot. These posts are going to be photo heavy, but it is so difficult choosing which photos to post and not to post. I hope you enjoy them and please feel free to leave any questions about the places below each post - I am happy to answer what I can. First up is probably my favourite place in Copenhagen - Tivoli Gardens.
    Copenhagen
Tivoli Gardens was founded in 1843 and is Copenhagen's most popular tourist attraction. The gardens were even visited by fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen and Walt Disney.  These gardens truly offer something for everyone - rides, beautiful gardens, many restaurants and entertainment.

There are many amusement park rides, the oldest ride being a wooden roller coaster from 1914. It is one of a few roller coasters that still have a brakeman on each train. JP and I road the roller coaster and it was really thrilling for such an old ride. Unfortunately none of the photos I took of it were great, but here are a few of the rides.

Tivoli Gardens is absolutely beautiful at night - all the rides and buildings have lots of lights on them. The only downside is that it only gets dark around 10:30pm at night so you are in for a LONG night to see the magical lights.

JP and I spent our last evening in Copenhagen at Tivoli Gardens so that we could watch the Tivoli Illuminations. It is a beautiful light and water show coordinated to music.

I absolutely love Tivoli, it was one of my absolute favourite places to go to - probably why we went there 3 times and I would have happily gone there more.

I will do a few more blog posts of my favourite places and experiences in Copenhagen. It really was such a wonderful trip and I am glad I get to share it will all of you.

      1. It is a definite must if you are in the Copenhagen area. I had the absolute best times there, even when it was just walking around the place.
