Diorshow Waterproof Mascara

Mascara is my favourite makeup product and one doesn't get much better than Dior mascara.  In the beginning of Summer I purchased a Diorshow Waterproof Mascara and it has fast become one of my absolute favourite mascaras.

Available in Jet Black (090), Chestnut Brown (698) and Azure Blue (258).

The brush is packed full of bristles that allow you to easily grab and coat your lashes in one pass of the wand.  The mascara lengthens, curls and adds volume to my lashes which is pretty much all you could hope for in a mascara.  It is not often that you find all 3 effects in one mascara.

As far as waterproof mascaras go, this is the best I have ever used.  Even after a good amount of time in the pool the product stayed put.  This also means that you need a good makeup remover to get this to budge.  I soak 2 cotton pads in makeup remover and let it rest on my eyes for about 30 seconds, this allows the makeup remover to loosen the mascara.  Removing the mascara then becomes a breeze.

This mascara cost me R380 before the annual price increase so I am not too sure what it is going for now.  I will definitely be buying another one as soon as my one needs replacing.  I know this mascara is very pricey but I found with "drug store" brand the mascaras would get clumpy within the first 2 or 3 weeks and my lashes would stick to together.  With more expensive beauty house brands I don't experience any clumping or thickening of the mascara because the formulation is so fantastic.  I also found that the better drug store mascara brands are around R200, I'd rather save up and spend a little extra on brands such as Dior or Chanel - especially because mascara is my favourite beauty product and something I apply once a day.
