• Balm Balm Frakincense Range

Just before Christmas Balm Balm sent a few bloggers three skin care products from their Frankincense range.

I really love Balm Balm so I am always thrilled to try out a few products.

    Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm
The balm is almost like an ointment in consistency because it is made with Shea Butter, Beeswas, Sunflower and Jojoba.  All of these ingredients help lift dirt, makeup and impurities from the skin.  Calendula is added to soothe skin with Frankincense to rejuvenate the skin.  Added to all the products is grapefruit which helps to refresh the skin.  The balm can be difficult to work with at first because I was kind of expecting it to work like a face wash - I was left with a greasy, oily feeling face because I didn't read how to use it properly.  I asked Bronwyn (Mother City Mom) and Nicole (Princess Noo) how they use it and they helped guide me.  I find that one should only a little amount, rub in it into your skin, then use a warm face cloth to remove the product and dirt from your face - and it works! Much better than my first experience.  What I do like about this product is that it doesn't leave your face feeling dry after washing, however I am a person who likes a gel face wash so it is a little difficult for me to fully adopt this way of washing my face.

    Frankincense Hydrosol Soothing Facial Tonic
I am a huge fan of facial tonics and toners.  I find them especially great in summer when I am getting hot and my skin feels dehydrated.  I sprits a bit of this on my face during the day to help hydrate my skin without having to remove all my makeup.  The tonic also helps to prepare your skin for receiving moisturiser, so if you aren't using a toner I strongly suggest that you do.

    Frankincense Light Facial Oil
This oil is rather thick in consistency but as the name suggests, it wears light on your skin.  The Frankincense is beneficial for treating fine lines by rejuvenating the skin.  The oil also contains peach kernel, evening primrose, jojoba and rosehip which all work to nourish and protect skin.  I find that when I skip the application of the oil my skin feels drier and less smooth.  So I truly love this facial oil.

All in all, I am very happy with all three products.  Balm Balm always makes great products and my skin loves the natural ingredients.  Thank you to the lovely people at Balm Balm for sending me these amazing products.

    Big Hugs,
    Charlene XXX

    2. I love this range! My hydrosol is already finished but I am still going with the balm and I've been using it for two months every single day! :)
