Winter time means relaxing in hot baths and nothing makes a bath better than wonderful bath products. For me I a huge fan of Fizz Bombs, natural soaps and scrubs.
I know people also go on and on about Lush but my two go to bath product brands are Tranquil Body Treats and Rain Africa. Why you may ask? It is quite simple, they are WAY more affordable and are amazing quality. Tranquil Body Treats sells their fizz bombs for R8 each and Rain Africa's fizz bombs start at around R17. Tranquil Body Treats also sells their fizz bombs in a powder form called Bath Sherbert. A 400ml bottle sells for R48.50 which lasts me a good 2 months.
Both brands fill the room with an amazing fragrance and transforms the water in your tub. My skin always feels so soft and smooth after a bath. My personal favourite is Tranquil Body Treats and I truly wish they had a store closer to my home. What is good about Rain Africa is that they have 2 stores close to me so it is so convenient for me to purchase their products and I am a big fan.
Don't get me wrong, I really like Lush but I flinch when I am throwing a bath bomb that is over R30 and even over R40 into a bath. I personally love their Butterball with sells for R28 and I have also tried many of their other bath bombs. Yes it is good quality, smells amazing and your feel great but you can do that a few times a month, whereas Tranquil Body Treats and Rain Africa allows you to have a wonderful bath a few times a week with pretty much the same experience.
So yes, my bath treats collection may not have the "wow factor" of Lush or other more pricey brands but to me it is worth so much. It represents relaxing "me time" and I can happily build up a big stash without breaking the banking.
Let me know what bath products you are loving at the moment.
Big Hugs,
Charlene XXX

Bath Sherbert sounds so yummy! I've never heard of Tranquil Body Treats or Rain Africa, not sure where there's a shop in Pretoria / Centurion...but if I see a shop I'll definitely give it a try!
ReplyDeleteIt's true what you say about LUSH though, I only take 'expensive' baths about once every 2 weeks or even only once a month. I finished all my LUSH goodies on Tuesday night - so sad... :(
No Rain Africa in Gauteng unfortunately :(
DeleteThe Bath Sherbert is my favourite!
DeleteThank you for the lovely blog post and the awesome feedback. It truly is wonderful to hear our clients say that they love our products. We are launching two new products this month, I will keep you posted ;)
ReplyDeleteI adore Tranquil Body Treats! It truly is my absolute favourite!
DeleteI couldn't agree with you more! Lush is pricey! I buy me a few things at Lush and use it sparingly so it can last me a while. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am loving Rain's bath salts at the moment. I wish Tranquil Body Treats could have a stockist closer to me, so want to try their products. I'm not into online shopping that much.
If you do shop online definitely treat yourself to a body scrub - they make the best body scrubs.
DeleteI completely agree. I love both TBT & Rain.
ReplyDeleteI try to break my LUSH bombs into a few pieces so I can try to justify spending so much on a bath bomb. Ha, ha. I do however LOVE lush sooo much.
Yes, Lush is great but it is not fun that the cost is so high when all you want it to enjoy a bath.
DeleteAaaw, I am so sorry I didn't just drive to bloody Wellington now!!! I know how much you love Tranquil Body Treats but the postage is ridiculous at R75 and cancels out all the affordability of their fizz balls. I just couldn't justify R75 postage on a R35 order. :( but I hope you still like what I did get instead :)
ReplyDeleteI love my bath time and having something special in my tub always is a treat. I am dying to try TBT. I will have to do an order soon!
