• Batiste Dry Shampoo

Recently I was sent a hamper of Batiste dry shampoo to test out.  I hadn't ever tried dry shampoos before so I was very excited to try these out.  The new scent is Cherry and Paisley - of course Cherry was the first one I tried because I love Cherries.
I really love the packaging of these products.  The labels are so fun but I love all the little cherries on the Cherry can in particular.

At first I sprayed each of the product so that I could smell the fragrances.  There is always a fine line with scented products, often products push it too far and it becomes sickly after a while.  These are all beautifully balanced.  When first applying it, you are in a cloud of  a wonderful smell but on your hair it settles to a nice subtle scent.  As expected, the Cherry smells of bright red, sweet cherries.  Anyone who likes cherries will seriously love this!  The paisley smells like a floral and fruity perfume, but again the fragrance is perfectly balanced to not give you any sickly smell.

I had very oily roots when I tried this so I wasn't expecting miracles but to my pleasant surprise my roots looked fresh and my hair appeared clean.  My hair didn't feel sticky or heavy with product in it.  I have quite fine hair and found that this product gave my roots amazing lift! For once I had hair will volume!  Throughout the day my hair looked good and I even woke up the next day with hair that didn't too bad.  The other fragrances are just as great but I am sure that people all have their favourites.  I personally like the Cherry and Tropical.

    1. Have never tried dry shampoo and its something I should keep at hand for those times when there is no time to wash hair.
Where do you buy from and what is the average price?
Have learnt so much about products from you, thank you!

      1. I am not sure how it will work on dark hair. My hair is a light brown.

    4. Cherry is next on my shopping list! I love Batiste, it is essential for those days when I don't have time to wash my hair, and it also makes my blonde hair look a little lighter if my roots are showing a bit :p

    5. I stick with the original, it's the least strong smelling, and unlike the one for brunettes - which is supposed to be suited for your dark hair - it doesn't make my hair all grey.

      1. That is great to hear about darker hair. I have seen some people complain about some white on their dark hair. Thanks for your input :)

    6. I got a sample in last month's Rubybox and absolutely hated it. It made my hair feel matte and knotty. I'll have to stick to good old-fashioned wet shampoo and conditioner, I think. :)

      1. I was concerned it would do that to me, but I guess I was fortunate. Thanks for your comment :)

    7. I really adore how they smell , I use such a variety of dry shampoos for curly hair and straight hair but this one has a nicer variety of smell.

    9. I bought the Cherry one recently and I love the smell!
Only thing is that I have really dark hair and sometimes it makes it look a bit grey.

      1. I suppose one has to be very careful when applying it. After I brush it through my hair, it looks ok with me. But I have light brown hair.
